FAQ FAQ

Q1. Is this the same as “Duty-Free”?

A. Not exactly. Airport “duty-free” is a different scheme. Online export = no Japanese consumption tax, but destination taxes/fees may apply.

Q2. Mark as a “gift” or lower the value?

A. No. We must declare actual value and contents for legal/insurance reasons.

Q3. Can I prepay taxes (DDP/IOSS)?

A. No. We ship via Japan Post (Small Packet, EMS) using DDU/DAP; taxes/fees are always paid at delivery to local customs/carriers. DDP/IOSS is not available.

Q4. Parcel returned due to unpaid taxes?

A. We cannot accept returns or issue refunds if a parcel is returned due to unpaid taxes, duties, or fees.
Please ensure you are able to pay the required charges in your country before placing an order.

Q5. How can I estimate possible charges?

A. Check your customs website, postal service, or courier for VAT/GST, duty rates, brokerage, and de minimis.

Important Notes Important Notes

  • Taxes, duties, and fees are set by local authorities; we cannot control them.
  • If you decline to pay and the parcel is abandoned/returned, refunds are limited as stated above.
